Komodo dragons are mostly a terrestrial animal but are avid climbers and swimmers. Despite their size, these lizards are fierce predators as they can subdue prey several times larger than themselves. Their venom helps to kill their prey along with their serrated teeth. Unlike most animals, which leave about 25%-30% of the kill, Komodo dragons consume almost everything leaving only herbivorous contents of the stomach and intestines.
Fun Fact:
An adult Komodo dragon can eat up to 80% of its body weight in a single meal.
