Stingray Shores
- A new interactive habitat that gives guests a chance to touch, feed, and even get in the water with stingrays.
- The state-of-the-art habitat is home to two species of stingrays, cownose and southern, and features a pool that is low enough for young children to peer and reach into the water, but also provides “rest zones” for the animals if they choose to take a break.
- Guests will also have the unique opportunity to get into the water during an unforgettable Signature Encounter. During the experience, guests join a guide and professional aquatics team member in the water for an adventure that connects them with these amazing species like never before.
- The new habitat was made possible through a gift from Kate Tiedemann and Ellen Cotton, who have a strong passion for the protection and preservation of Florida wildlife. The Signature Encounter is sponsored by the Tampa Bay Rays.
Stingray In-Water Experience
- A new interactive habitat that gives guests a chance to touch, feed, and even get in the water with stingrays.
Australia Realm

- The reimagined Billabong Splash Pad made possible by Bank of America, offers more ways for guests of all ages to cool off in the Florida sun!
- An adjacent play area also provides young children with opportunities for climbing and exploration.
- An expanded wallaby viewing area offers opportunities to get up-close during the new Wallaby Signature Encounter (coming soon)!
- The Koala Signature Encounter also returns, providing guests with the opportunity for a meet-and-greet with these furry friends!
- The Lil’ Joey Family Stop, presented by Muma Children’s Hospital at Tampa General Hospital, provides parents and nursing moms with a private place to tend to small children.
- New food and beverage locations, the Outpost Grab & Go Market and the Boomerang Bar, offers guests an array of delicious drinks and food options.
- Families can cap off their day of wild adventures at Sunset Sips, a special event in Australia featuring a DJ dance party beginning at 3:00 PM and continuing into the evening with BOGO on domestic beers and specialty foods at the new Boomerang Bar.
Prehistoric Predators
- Don’t miss your chance to take a step back in time and encounter awe-inspiring creatures during this limited-time event. Get up close to 15 colossal animatronic predators of the past. Run, don’t walk, because this event closes on April 28!
Spring Break Extended Hours
- Guests, young and older, wanting to keep the adventure going will enjoy the extended park hours until 7:00 PM daily during Spring Break (March 9-17) and on weekends until the end of April.
