The yellow-footed rock wallaby is typically a social animal, living in a group of up to 20 other individuals. Thought to be nocturnal because they hide themselves in crevices and caves, they are usually active during the day. In fact, you can catch them oftentimes sunbathing to keep warm. Wallabies are very agile and are excellent jumpers. They are known to climb extremely steep cliffs and tree trunks. The bright coloration on wallabies provides camouflage amongst light and shadows that falls on the red rocks of its habitat.
